HARTFORD, Conn., July 26 (Ticker) -- Nykesha Sales scored 18 of her 23 points in the second half as the Connecticut Sun extended their winning streak to four games with a 74-70 triumph over the Charlotte Sting.

Charlotte scored the first five points after halftime to grab a 35-30 lead, but Connecticut answered with a 10-0 run never trailed thereafter.

Katie Douglas had seven points during the decisive burst and finished with 11. Taj McWilliams-Franklin was the only other Sun player in double figures with 10 points. She made two free throws to seal the win after Charlotte got within a basket with four seconds remaining.

Tammy Sutton-Brown led the Sting with a season-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds. Rushia Brown and Dawn Staley contributed 10 points apiece for Charlotte, which has lost four of five following a four-game winning streak.

Connecticut has won five of its last six home games, although this was its only game of the season at the Hartford Civic Center.
