SAN ANTONIO, June 14 (Ticker) -- Marie Ferdinand scored 15 points as the San Antonio Silver Stars continued their mastery of the Charlotte Sting with a 62-52 victory.

San Antonio, formerly the Utah Starzz, notched its fourth straight victory over Charlotte by taking control midway through the first half. Ferdinand's three-point play capped a 10-0 spurt and opened a 26-18 advantage with 5:53 left before halftime, and the Silver Stars never looked back.

Margo Dydek added 14 points and rookie Gwen Jackson collected nine and 13 rebounds. Jackson grabbed 10 offensive boards, matching a franchise record. The Silver Stars held a 39-32 edge on the glass.

Charlotte pulled within 48-43 on a basket by Charlotte Smith-Taylor with 13:16 remaining. San Antonio responded with a 12-4 tear and Dydek's basket capped it for a 60-47 bulge with 3:49 left to play.

Allison Feaster and Andrea Stinson each scored 11 points for Charlotte and Stinson grabbed 10 rebounds. The Sting shot just under 30 percent (17-of-57) and fell to 1-2 on a four-game road trip.

Charlotte center Tammy Sutton-Brown, who finished with nine points and four blocks, left briefly with a left knee injury early in the second half. She played just 21 minutes due to foul trouble.
