SAN ANTONIO, June 1 (Ticker) -- The Connecticut Sun's first road trip is going better than expected.

Nykesha Sales scored 22 points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 13 and 10 rebounds as the Sun rolled to a 93-64 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars.

After losing their season opener at home, the Sun -- formerly the Orlando Miracle -- opened a three-game road trip with a stunning victory over the Houston Comets on Friday. They continued their impressive swing with a dominant effort against the Silver Stars on Sunday.

Adrienne Johnson scored 14 points and Katie Douglas added 13 for Connecticut, which shot just 39 percent (30-of-78) but made 9-of-21 3-pointers.

The Sun had a 34-30 halftime edge and could not pull away until a 19-3 run late in the game. Sales scored nine points during the burst, which gave Connecticut an 83-61 cushion with 63 seconds left.

Semeka Randall scored 14 points and Margo Dydek collected 14 and 12 rebounds for San Antonio, which lost despite a 46-33 advantage off the boards.

The Silver Stars have lost three straight games since winning their season opener.
