SAN ANTONIO, May 30 (Ticker) -- Katie Smith scored 14 of her 21 points in the second half to lead the Minnesota Lynx to a 75-65 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars.

Svetlana Abrosimova added 16 points and Michele Van Gorp had 14 off the bench for Minnesota, which has won two of its first three games.

The Lynx trailed by as many as six points early in the second half, but used a 12-2 run to take a 50-46 lead with 12:08 left. Smith scored five points during the spurt, including a fast-break layup to cap it.

Despite shooting better and outrebounding Minnesota, San Antonio dropped its first home game. The Silver Stars shot 41 percent (26-of-64) from the field and grabbed 38 rebounds, while the Lynx shot 39 percent (28-of-72) had 35 boards.

Center Margo Dydek led San Antonio with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Jennifer Azzi had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Azzi converted a three-point play with 4:19 left to pull San Antonio within 63-62, but the Silver Stars went without a basket the rest of the way.
