MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 2 (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Mercury's ineptitude on the road continued.

Katie Smith scored 20 of her 22 points in the second half as the Minnesota Lynx extended the Mercury's WNBA-record road losing streak to 19 games with a 75-51 triumph.

Phoenix, which has not won on the road since July 27, 2001, fell to 0-13 away from home this season and has dropped 14 of 16 overall.

After Adrain Williams' layup 23 seconds into the second half gave Phoenix a 31-29 advantage, Michele Van Gorp tied it with a tip-in and made a layup to put Minnesota ahead for good with 18:13 remaining.

Smith gave the Lynx a double-digit advantage, 54-42, with a 3-pointer with 8:33 to play, and they pulled away thereafter.

Tamika Williams added 12 points for Minnesota, which won for only the fourth time in 20 games.

Smith connected on 9-of-10 shots for the Lynx, who shot 54 percent (31-of-57) while limiting the Mercury to 36 percent (21-of-59).

Jennifer Gillom had 12 points but was the only player in double figures for Phoenix.
