NEW YORK, June 25, (Ticker) -- Crystal Robinson made sure the New York
Liberty's losing streak did not reach four games.
Robinson almost singlehandedly outscored the Indiana Fever in
the first half as the Liberty jumped out to an early advantage
and halted a three-game slide with a 74-55 victory.
Robinson collected 14 of her season-high 24 points in the
opening 20 minutes as the Liberty streaked to a 36-19 advantage.
The 36 points were a season high for the first half.
The 5-11 forward made 9-of-12 shots from the field, including
6-of-9 from the arc, as New York connected at 55 percent
(29-of-53) while limiting Indiana to 37 percent (19-of-53).
Becky Hammon added 12 points, Tari Phillips nine and eight
rebounds and Teresa Weatherspoon had six points and 10 assists.
Bridget Pettis registered 13 points and rookie Tamika Catchings
collected 12, eight rebounds and six assists for the Fever, who
trailed throughout and lost for the fifth time in eight games.
