WNBA MVP Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever showed off her new hardware and took in the love from the Conseco Fieldhouse crowd prior to Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.
After 10 WNBA seasons, two Team USA gold medals and three MVP runner-up selections (2003, 2009 and 2010), Catchings was visibly moved by the honor, but made sure to keep her eyes on the true prize, a WNBA Championship.
"We're not done yet, we all know that, we're not done yet," said Catchings. "I'm gonna take it (the MVP award) in stride, and keep it moving and finish this journey off."
