Join WNBA.com as the 2003 WNBA Finals tip off on Friday at 8 p.m. ET with the Los Angeles Sparks hosting the Detroit Shock in Game 1 of the best-of-three series.

Fans can participate in live cybercasts and chats with WNBA players during every game of the Finals.

One of the topics we'll be talking about on Friday is the Detroit/L.A. rivalry, all the way back to the "Bad Boys" Pistons and the "Showtime" Lakers. Shock coach Bill Laimbeer and Sparks coach Michael Cooper faced each other as players in the NBA Finals in 1988 and '89, with Cooper's Lakers taking the title in '88 and Laimbeer's Pistons winning it all in '89, to block L.A.'s three-peat quest, no less.

So, where do you stand -- are you in the Michael Cooper L.A. camp or has Bill Laimbeer and Detroit always been your favorite?

Let us know what you think and log on Friday during the game to find out what other fans think and to get the inside scoop for STAPLES Center.
