The Indiana Fever (22-10) travels to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Sky (15-17) (8:00 p.m., 1070 The Fan, WNBA LiveAccess).

Indiana’s Last Outing (September 8, 2009):
The Indiana Fever won its second game in a row with a 69-63 victory over the New York Liberty. Tamika Catchings had 17 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to go along with Katie Douglas’ 17 points. Briann January scored 12 points, including six points in the last 4:55.

Chicago’s Last Outing (September 6, 2009):
The late-season surge continued for Detroit as the Shock registered an 84-75 victory over Chicago. Shyra Ely and Candice Dupree each scored for 18 points for the Sky. Deanna Nolan played every minute for the Shock adding 19 points and eight rebounds.

Last Meeting (August 6, 2009):
Reserves Shay Murphy and Tamecka Dixon combined for 11 points in the fourth quarter to carry the Fever over the Sky, 76-67. Katie Douglas added 14 points, but did not play in the fourth quarter. Candice Dupree led the Sky with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Stats and Trends:

  • Tamika Catchings is now three steals away from a WNBA-record 100 steals in a season, with two games remaining. As a team, the Fever needs just three steals to eclipse its own league record for season steals by a team.

  • The Chicago Sky is currently tied for the fourth spot with Washington and Connecticut, all have a 15-17 record. Chicago owns the tiebreaker with each team.

  • The Fever finished a league-best 14-3 at home. Against the Eastern Conference, Indiana has been dominant with a 17-3 record that is the third-best conference mark in WNBA history.
