2014 Playoff Schedule

Eastern Conference Finals: Fever vs. Sky

For the second straight year, the Fever and Chicago Sky meet in the postseason. Indiana swept top-seeded Chicago in the first round last year in what was the Sky's first-ever playoff series. This year, the Sky reversed their fortunes in the first round, upsetting top-seeded Atlanta behind a pair of road victories. In Game 3, Elena Delle Donne scored 17 of her 34 points in the fourth quarter (including the game-winner with 8.4 seconds left) to lead a furious comeback. During the regular season, Indiana won the season series, 3-2.

First Round: Fever vs. Mystics

The second-seeded Fever opened postseason play with a best-of-three series against the Washington Mystics. The two teams split their four-game season series, with the road team winning every game. Indiana and Washington had only met one previous time in the postseason, when the Fever swept the Mystics in the first round in 2009 and went on to the franchise's first WNBA Finals appearance. The result wound up the same in 2014, but both games were hotly contested. The Fever won at home in Game 1 behind Tamika Catchings' 22 points, 10 rebounds, and seven steals. In Game 2, Indiana rallied to force overtime and then held off the Mystics in extra time thanks to some timely baskets and stout defense.
