JESSICA MOORE AND SHAY MURPHY ADDED TO FEVER ROSTER

News Release | June 11, 2009
To bolster the Fever roster, Indiana has added fifth-year center Jessica Moore and third-year guard Shay Murphy. Waived by the Fever were Erica White and Khadijah Whittington.

Moore was the final cut made by the Los Angeles Sparks during training camp this season. She played three-and-a-half years with the Sparks after entering the league as a first-round draft pick of the Charlotte Sting. The 6-3 center has played 112 games in the WNBA, including 52 starts. She was a 33-game starter with the Sparks in 2006. She won three NCAA championships at the University of Connecticut.

Murphy, the top 3-point shooter in USC history and a former teammate of Fever star Ebony Hoffman, was a second-round selection of the Minnesota Lynx in 2007. She was traded to the Detroit Shock in June 2008, and then to the Washington Mystics in August 2008. She was waived by the Mystics last month.
