Kroger Central Division President Bob Moeder and Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Jim Morris jointly announced a comprehensive partnership at an 11:00 AM news conference today. Additional details of the new partnership will be highlighted on July 2nd during the 7:00 PM Indiana Fever game against the Connecticut Sun.

The agreement makes Kroger an Official Sponsor of the Indiana Fever and the Exclusive Supermarket Sponsor of the Indiana Pacers for the next five years. Kroger and the teams will move forward with an ambitious promotional partnership that includes signage, television, radio, print, billboards, internet, a significant number of event appearances and other shared promotional opportunities. According to Kroger Central Division President Bob Moeder, “This is not only a mutually-beneficial promotional alliance showcasing three strong corporate citizens that will achieve important business goals on behalf of our customers; this is the start of a very strong community partnership that will enrich local communities across Indiana. Our Kroger team is extremely enthused about the many community service opportunities and our shared aspiration to truly make a difference. Both Kroger and the Indiana Pacers, for example, are strong supporters of hunger relief and K-12 education. You will notice students from Indianapolis Public School 46 Daniel Webster Family Academy at tomorrow’s game, celebrating together with Kroger associates, with 11 of them serving as ball exchange kids during the game. I believe our partnerships with School 46, Gleaners Food Bank and many other organizations will be even stronger in the years to come. At the same time, we will add Kroger’s support to causes important to the teams, such as Indiana Fever’s “Be YOUnique Fund,” Pacers Foundation and the “High Five Club.” Kroger is a company that emphasizes health and nutrition and we intend to bring additional value to the “Pacers Get Fit” program. With the help of the Pacers and Fever teams, the Kroger team will bring additional value to important community organizations.”
