Bevilaqua and Catchings to Conduct Holiday Basketball Camps

Indiana Fever stars Tully Bevilaqua and Tamika Catchings each will conduct basketball camps for youth during days surrounding the upcoming holiday.

Bevilaqua, the Fever’s starting point guard and a silver medalist with the 2008 Australian Olympic Team, has recently moved to Indianapolis and will host the first annual Tully Bevilaqua Basketball Camp, Dec. 21-22, at The Fieldhouse in Fishers. Participation is from 9 a.m. to noon both days. Admission includes a camp t-shirt and a guest appearance from Fever coach Lin Dunn. Registration is online at TullyBevilaqua.com.

Catchings, the WNBA’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time Olympic gold medalist, will conduct her annual Catch The Stars Youth Holiday Basketball Camp at Warren Central High School, Dec. 28-30. Instruction is from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 28 and 29, and from 10 to 1 on Dec. 30. Admission includes lunch each day and a camp t-shirt. Bevilaqua and Catchings have teamed to guide the Fever to five consecutive WNBA playoff appearances, including a run to the WNBA Finals last September. Together, they also have been named beside each other on the WNBA All-Defensive Team in five straight seasons.
