Katie Douglas - Wisla Can-Pak

Douglas was one of the Fever's stars this season before being sidelined by an ankle injury during the Eastern Conference Finals. She was rehabbing the injury and preparing to play overseas for the 10th time in her career, this time in Poland. It was determined, however, that surgery was required for the injured ankle and she will remain in Indianapolis doing further rehabilitation through probably February. In the past she has played in Russia, Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, and Greece.

January 11,2013:Douglas underwent surgery to her ankle during the Christmas break, removing bone chips and repairing a tendon. She will undergo rehab for a 6-to-8 week period before resuming any basketball activity. A full recovery is expected prior to the 2013 WNBA season.

December 7, 2012: Katie Douglas has still not joined her team. Wisla Can-Pak has an overall record of 9-2 in the Polish League and has won three straight EuroCup games to bring its record to 3-3. The latest win for the Wisla Can-Pak came against Tarsus Bld from Turkey. Wisla Can-Pak was able to secure the 74-73 win with a 27 points, 16 rebound performance from Tina Charles. The win moved the defending Polish champion team to third place in Group A of EuroCup play.

November 30, 2012: Katie Douglas is playing for Wisla Can-Pak in Poland, but has yet to play a game due to the ankle injury she sustained during the Eastern Conference Finals against the Connecticut Sun on Oct. 11.

Wisla Can-Pak plays in both the Polish League and EuroLeague.

The team is coming off of its second EuroLeague win in a row, with a 66-62 win over Rivas Ecopolis on Wednesday. Wisla Can-Pak is the defending Polish Cup Champion, with Fever star Erin Phillips headlining last year’s Wisla roster. So far this season, the team is 9-1 in Polish League action, led by WNBA standouts Tina Charles and Alana Beard.

November 16, 2012: Katie Douglas left this week to join her team Wisla Can-Pak in Krakow, Poland. She has not played for the team yet this season.
