Ebony Hoffman was the featured celebrity reader at a special event for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The activity, held at Hawthorne Community Center, was one of many community events throughout Indianapolis held on Monday that focused on educating youth about Dr. King and his legacy.

Hawthorne Community Center had a variety of activities set up for the children that involved crafts, sharing their dreams and learning about Dr. King through guest readings. Hoffman read a children's book that went through some of the many milestone's in Dr. King's life. She then talked with the children, answered questions and signed autographs for those that attended the event.
