Catchings to Assist Pacers with Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless

For the third straight year, Olympic gold medalist and Indiana Fever All-Star Tamika Catchings will take part in the Pacers "Come to Our House" Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 24, 2004. The dinner, which is sponsored by Pacers player Austin Croshere, invites 600 homeless people from area shelters and missions to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Catchings joins many of the Pacers players and front office in helping serve the food to the guests. The homeless guests also receive a bag full of items including a blanket, towel, wash cloth, soap, toothpaste and other items.

In addition to being a server at the event, Tamika Catchings is also donating $1,000 to purchase hats and gloves for the homeless that participate. Catchings has been a strong supporter of the event with donations including turkeys, socks and gloves for the past three years.
