GDYNIA, Poland - In Gdynia, Lotos won 91:73 over Wisla in Game 4 of the best-of-seven Polish championship series. Lotos is leading 3:1 in playoff games. The next game is going to take place in Krakow on Tuesday.

This game was the sloppiest game of the finals so far - neither team played good basketball. Saturday wasn't the best of days for Wisla. Anna DeForge scored 10 points, but she didn't make any 3-point shots. I've never seen a game in Poland, that Anna didn't hit effectively from 3-point range. Lotos was paced in the win by Nykesha Sales again. She scored 22 points (86% overall, 75% 3-pointers). Tan White played 29 minutes and scored nine points. She also has six rebounds and six assists.

The second quarter was the key to the win for Lotos. They won the period, 24:15. Players from Krakow (Wisla Can-Pack) fouled too often. Lotos was stronger under the basket. Ruth Riley rebounded more than the center from Wisla, Daliborka Vilipic, a Polish player who played with the Los Angeles Sparks in WNBA. In the third and in the fourth quarter, Wisla tried to make up for its disadvantage, but Wisla's leaders, DeForge and Jelena Skerovic, didn't have a good day.

Lotos needs only one win to be the Polish champion. I think Wisla will be the favorite of Tuesday's game. We have to remember, Wisla is still the Polish champion and at home, it is always dangerous.

I am reminded of a situation that took place one year ago. Wisla lost a finals game in Gdynia to tie the series at 3:3. This situation was one day before the deciding 7th game. About 300 Wisla fans came to practice with a banner, on that was written: "We believe in you. Now believe in each other." For 15 minutes, those fans chanted the names of the players and coach. After this time they left the gym. They wanted to show, "We are with you," but they didn't want to disturb the practice. It was certainly unique!

The Fans will give the power to Wisla, I think. It could be a breakthrough.
