Reading TimeOut with Coretta Brown

February 3, 2005
As part of the combined efforts of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever to promote reading for the NBA and WNBA Read To Achieve initiatives, Coretta Brown was among the guest readers at a Pacers Reading TimeOut at IPS #84 (Joseph Bingham Elementary) on Thursday.

Other guest readers included Dr. Pat Pritchett, superintendent of IPS schools and Terri Stacy, morning show co-host of 1070 AM WIBC.

All of the 123 children from kindergarten to 3rd grade were entertained by stories read by the three readers. In addition, special Pacers and Fever prizes were awarded, and goody bags filled with Pacers and Fever items were distributed to each participant. The event also featured a special appearance by Pacers mascot Bowser who brought Pacers tickets for all of the young students.
