News Release | May 12, 2005
A part of the WNBA’s Read to Achieve program, the Indiana Fever’s entire team and Head Coach Brian Winters will take part in a Read to Achieve Tipoff Event on Friday, May 13, at Christel House Academy (2717 S. East Street). The program takes place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

All 15 players on the Fever’s training camp roster will take part in the annual event which celebrates the beginning of the new WNBA season and highlights one of the league’s most prominent community initiatives. Read to Achieve is a year-round, league-wide initiative that promotes the value of reading and online literacy, and encourages families and adults to read regularly with young children.

Friday’s event will involve 160 students from the first, second and fourth grades at Christel House Academy.

The Fever opens its 2005 regular season schedule on Sunday, May 22 (6:00 p.m.), by hosting the Charlotte Sting. Individual tickets for all Fever home games can be purchased at the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, the Internet (www.Ticketmaster.com or www.ConsecoFieldhouse.com) or by phone at 1-877-WNBA-TIX.
