Hoffman To Be Locked Up by MDA

Ebony Hoffman will be participating in the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association's Lock-Up fundraiser. All proceeds from this special event will benefit MDA's research, support for families, health care services, education and other endeavors to fight muscular dystrophy. Indiana's MDA Lock-Up will take place Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 17 and 18, with Hoffman being locked-up Aug. 17.

Hoffman has also supported the MDA as part of the its seventh annual Muscle Team Gala in February 2005. At that event, Hoffman served as a sports celebrity that was matched with a child that suffered from the disease.

Hoffman's efforts in the community, especially those involving children, earned her recognition in June from the WNBA with the league's 2005 Offseason Community Assist Award.

By participating in the program Hoffman will be locked-up and only donations to MDA can free her. In order to help bail her out, please click here to donate online and to find out more information about MDA and the Lock-Up program.
