"I don’t think I could name one. There have been so many unbelievable women in history. Not just as far as sports, I just think uplifting women in general. I think I would probably be doing myself as well as those women an injustice if I named one. I am just so elated with the success of every woman that’s taken so many things and just kind of put them on her back and just rode with all the punches, so I just say hurray for women and all their successes. And hopefully we just continue to be strong and move forward."

Do you think of yourself and the WNBA as a part of women's history?
"I think so. I think the WNBA is so much bigger than just women’s basketball or basketball in general. So often when we’re out or when just travelling or even at our games, there are women who are at the games and supporting women’s basketball that weren’t really sports fans at all. But just seeing the WNBA and seeing the strength of the women that are in our league, it was so inspiring to older women, to little girls. It’s just really awesome the effect that we’ve been able to have, and I think probably I could speak for all of my counterparts that in our wildest dreams we never thought that the impact would be so huge. Maybe in sports, yes, but just in a broad perspective as far women and giving strength and perspective, I think that it’s awesome because we’ve given so many women the strength or the motivation to go on and do whatever it is that they want to do. And I think that’s great."
