Now, with her rookie season -- and a WNBA championship -- under her belt, Teasley gives her scouting report on this year's team and offers up some advice for the NCAA Tournament. UNC finished the season with a 27-5 record, earning the Tar Heels their 15th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Have you been following this year’s UNC team?
I’m definitely following the team. They’re doing really well now.
How would you describe the team’s style of play and how far do you think they’ll go in the NCAA Tournament?
They’ve got a more settled down game where they get it inside. I think our big girls are doing really good for us. We have a freshman, La’Tangela Atkinson, who came in and is just doing really well. Their style is more like a half-court game, but they defend better. They defend a lot better. I think they have a chance of being in the Elite Eight, maybe the Final Four.
What does the team need to do to raise level of play to next level?
I think they need to pick up the pace a bit, do better in transition.
What advice would you give to this year's team heading into the NCAA tournament?
Just to have the desire, the fire to win, to go out and dominate the game. You have to be willing to dominate because everybody’s going to come out fighting in the Tournament.

What future WNBA prospects do you see on the team?
The freshman La’Tangela Atkinson, Leah Metcalf, she’s a sophomore, Nikita Bell’s a sophomore, Candace Sutton’s a junior, she’s a big girl, she’s 6-
5, I’m sure she’s going to make it.
