Q.: People talk about the Eastern Conference being more defensive-focused, have you found that to be true?
"Well, it's true on my team. I think the East is tough and I think the East is a lot more physical in the post, so it's harder to score points. Post players are definitely stronger in the East, not as tall and not as long and slender, but definitely stronger."
Q.: In your time in the WNBA, how do you see defenses having evolved?
"I think the parity throughout the whole league right now is great, so everyone's picking it up. There are some teams that allow others to score 100 points a night. "
Q.: Have you found that there are different things you're being asked to do, maybe a different style of play?
"Well, I think on this team more than so than when I was in Utah a few years ago, I'm definitely more of a leader, a floor leader, expected to be the inside force."
Q.: How do you feel about that?
"I enjoy that role, I really do, so I try to help my teammates as much as I can as well as defend my player that I'm guarding."
Q.: Do you focus more on offense on defense when you are out there?
"I think the biggest thing, especially since I'm a veteran is just be a leader on the floor, whether it's just by example defensively or getting rebounds. -- Tamika does the scoring part, so I don't have to worry about that too much."
