Tina Thompson has accomplished just about everything you could imagine during a ten year career in any professional sport.

After winning four WNBA championships, making four All-Star appearances, and being named to the All-Decade team while averaging 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists throughout her career, Tina Thompson is still going strong. With season averages among the best of her career (18.3ppg, 5.2apg), Tina is leading the Comets to 8-4 record and a second place standing in the Western Conference.

The Houston Comets went 2-1 last week with Thompson leading the way. On Wednesday, with co-star Sheryl Swoopes on the bench with an ankle injury, Tina scored eight of her 26 points in overtime as the Rockets beat the Sacramento Monarchs 73-66.

A couple of nights later Thompson was at it again. Along with a full-team effort from the Comets, Thompson led the way with a game-high 22 points to go along with 5 rebounds. Toward the end of the week Thompson cooled off a bit only scoring 16 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in a losing effort to the Detroit Shock.

Thompson currently ranks seventh in the WNBA with 18.2 points per game, first in minutes played with 391, and second in three point field goals made with 24. She also ranks #3 in field goals made with 82 and #16 in field-goal percentage shooting 48.2%.
