As one of the most well-known and accomplished female athletes in the world over the past ten years, Sheryl Swoopes is still going strong at 35 years old as she continues putting up great numbers and helping lead the Houston Comets to yet another possible playoff berth.

Swoopes, who was named to the WNBA All-Decade Team earlier this season, has been a member of the Houston Comets since the league's inaugural season and helped the Comets win four championships while being named to the Western Conference All-Star Team six times. She has also been named WNBA Most Valuable Player three times and has led the league in scoring twice.

Last week, Swoopes led the Comets (14-11) in scoring twice as the team finished 1-1 for the week. Much like she did last season, she has been carrying the team on her back while teammate and fellow All-Decade honoree has been out of the lineup. On Tuesday, Swoopes scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a losing effort to the San Antonio Silver Stars. On Thursday, she recorded a double-double in netting 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds in a 78-55 win over the Minnesota Lynx.

Among overall league ranks, Swoopes ranks No. 13 in points per game (14.5) and field goals made (121). She also ranks fourth in steals per game with an average of 1.91, and second in minutes per game (34.2).

During her 10 year WNBA career, the former Texas Tech and current U.S. National Team star (she has three Olympic gold medals) has averaged 16.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.25 steals in 250 games played.
