What is your favorite exercise for the lower body?
My favorite lower body exercise is the leg press because it gives me more power for rebounding.

What is your favorite exercise for the upper body?
My favorite exercises for the upper body are the bench press and cord work. These exercises strengthen my upper body so that I'm able to finish inside around all those big bodies.

What is your favorite cardio exercise?
I enjoy biking as my favorite cardio exercise as it helps with my endurance.

How do you work out on your off days during the season?
I try not to work out during my offdays. I try resting my body during these days.

What do you do to stay in shape during the offseason?
I do a lot of different things to stay in shape during the offseason: play pick-up basketball, lift, as well as cardio work.

What is your toughest fitness challenge?
My toughest fitness challenge is running a timed mile.

Is there a fitness accomplishment you are most proud of?
The two fitness accomplishments I'm most proud of are benching 195 lbs. and squatting 400 lbs.

Is there one exercise you hate and have to force yourself to complete?
I always have to force myself to do core work exercises.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to get into better shape for playing basketball?
To get in better basketball shape, I'd just tell people to keep playing a lot. The more you practice and play, the better you will become. Also, I'd recommend lifting to strengthen your body.

How would you describe the role of fitness and exercise in your life?
The role of fitness and exercise is very important in my life. It helps me keep my weight down. All the exercise improves my stamina for WNBA games. Also, it provides an overall healthy body.

Is there a certain type of music that you listen to while working out?
I listen to rap or R&B music during my workouts.

Is there a certain food that you like to eat before games?
Before games, I usually eat Wheaties.

What foods do you have a weakness for?
I have a weakness for chocolate.

What is your favorite healthy snack?
My favorite healthy snack is fruit.

How has your fitness routine changed over the years?
I really started working out in college at Connecticut. I was in the best shape of my life last season – my rookie year in the WNBA. One of the changes to my fitness routine over the years is that I've incorporated more weight lifting.
