Mystics forward Stacey Dales-Schuman spends a lot of time working in the studio for those college games in the offseason, but don't be fooled... fitness is very important to her and she spends several hours working out everyday to make sure those very college kids never get the best of her if and when they make it to the WNBA.

What's your favorite exercise for upper body?
What do you do to stay in shape during the offseason?
About 3-4 hours, playing, shooting, weight training and cardio.
Is there a fitness/exercise goal that you've set for yourself that you're
working towards now?
Trying to keep my body from being fatigued and dehydrated. It is so important to drink a lot of water and stay hydrated all of the time.
Is there a fitness accomplishment you're most proud of?
I benched 160 in the off-season.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to get into better shape
for playing basketball?
Work hard and be dedicated and consistent.
Is there a song/type of music that you listen to while you're working out?
I like rock, heavy metal.
Is there a fitness product on TV that makes you laugh the most?
The ab products that say you'll build a six pack if you do what they tell you for five minutes a day. That's just impossible.
Is there a certain food/meal that you like to eat before games? What foods
do you have a weakness for? What's your favorite healthy snack?
I like to eat a lot of carbohydrates. I love ice cream and pizza, but I don't eat them. I eat healthy and I eat a lot. Lots of yogurt and cereal.
