DeLisha Milton, Tamecka Dixon, Ticha Penicheiro Allison Feaster and Margo Dydek are just a few of the WNBA players keeping busy this WNBA offseason by competing for teams in the EuroLeague.

Here are some of the recent highlights:

Feb. 13
Sacramento’s Yolanda Griffith was named FIBA Euroleague Women Player of the Week as she led UMMC Ekaterinburg to a victory over CharChieti Cus Chieti by scoring 31 points and grabbing 10 rebounds and shooting 5-of-5 from the field and 17-of-21 from the free-throw line. Griffith is currently leading the Euroleague Women in both scoring (21.0 ppg) and rebounding (12.9 rpg) and has posted seven double-doubles on the season.

Sacramento’s Yolanda Griffith posted her seventh consecutive double-double by scoring a game-high 31 points and pulling down 10 rebounds in UMMC’s 87-74 victory over CariChieti Cus Chieti. Los Angeles’ DeLisha Milton recorded her own double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Los Angeles’ Tamecka Dixon scored 10 points and Sacramento’s Ticha Penicheiro finished with five points and five assists for UMMC. Indiana’s Bridget Pettis finished with 19 points and four assists in the losing effort. Former Cleveland (1997-2001) forward Eva Nemcova scored 19 points and collected eight rebounds and former Detroit (2001-02) center Kelly Santos scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.

Former Indiana (2000-01) forward Jurgita Streimikyte finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds in Lietuvos Telekomas’ 61-56 victory over Lotos VBW Clima Gdynia. San Antonio’s Margo Dydek posted her seventh double-double of the Euroleague season, scoring 15 points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds in the loss. Detroit’s Elaine Powell chipped in 14 points and collected seven rebounds and Washington’s Chasity Melvin finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort.

Former Detroit (2000-02) and Phoenix (2002) center Oxana Zakalyuzhnaya scored 15 points and collected nine rebounds in Euroleasing-Orsi Sopron’s 95-48 victory over USK Blex KV Praha.

Former Phoenix (1998-2001) center Maria Stepanova scored 17 points and grabbed a game-high 20 rebounds as VBM-SGAU Samara defeated Lavezzini Parma, 82-65 … Former Phoenix (2001) guard/forward Ilona Korstine led all scorers with 20 points in the victory. Los Angeles’ Mwadi Mabika scored seven points and collected five rebounds and San Antonio’s Marie Ferdinand scored three points in the win. Sacramento’s Taj McWilliams posted her sixth double-double by scoring 17 points and grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds in the loss. Former Los Angeles (1999), Indiana (2000-01) and Phoenix (2002) guard Gordana Grubin scored 19 points and handed out nine assists in the losing effort.

Minnesota’s Kristi Harrower recorded her first double-double of the Euroleague season by scoring 12 points and collecting 13 assists as Pays D’Aix Basket 13 defeated MBK Ruzomberok, 91-70.

Former Los Angeles (2000-02) forward Vedrana Grgin Fonseca scored a team-high 15 points and finished with seven rebounds in Bourges Basket’s 79-70 victory over Universitat FC Barcelona. Former Charlotte (1999-2000), Miami (2001) and Phoenix (2002-03) forward Tracy Reid scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds in the losing effort Former Charlotte (1997-98) and Orlando (1999) center Andrea Congreaves didn’t score for Universitat FCBarcelona.

Houston’s Lucienne Berthieu finished with 10 points and seven rebounds and Detroit’s Kedra Holland-Corn scored 11 points in the losing effort. Minnesota’s Michele van Gorp chipped in four points in the loss. Detroit’s Elaine Powell scored a game-high 19 points and added seven rebounds and Washington’s Chasity Melvin finished with 17 points and five rebounds in the win. Sacramento’s Yolanda Griffith posted her seventh consecutive double-double scoring a game-high 37 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the field and collecting 12 rebounds as UMMC Ekaterinburg defeated MBK Ruzomberok, 85-77. Griffith is currently ranked second in the EuroLeague in scoring with 19.6 points per game and first in rebounding with 13.3 per contest. Los Angeles’ DeLisha Milton recorded her fourth double-double of the season scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the victory. Los Angeles’ Nikki Teasley scored four points and handed out eight assists in the win. Sacramento’s Ticha Penicheiro finished with nine points and four steals for UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Minnesota’s Kristi Harrower scored 11 points and finished with four steals as Pays D’Aix Basket 13 defeated Universitat FC Barcelona, 64-57. Former Charlotte (1997-98) and Orlando (1999) center Andrea Congreaves finished with four points and four rebounds and former Charlotte (1999-2000), Miami (2001) and Phoenix (2002-03) forward Tracy Reid scored two points and collected five rebounds in the losing effort.

Former Los Angeles (2000-02) forward Vedrana Grgin Fonseca scored 13 points and pulled down five rebounds in Bourges Basket’s 80-63 victory over Euroleasing-Orsi Sopron. Former Los Angeles (1999), Indiana (2000-01) and Phoenix (2002) guard Gordana Grubin scored a game-high 29 points and had five steals in the losing effort.

Griffith is currently leading the EuroLeague in rebounding with 13.5 per game. Los Angeles’ DeLisha Milton scored 18 points, added eight rebounds and blocked two shots while Los Angeles’ Tamecka Dixon finished with nine points and five assists in the loss. Sacramento’s Ticha Penicheiro netted eight points and four rebounds in the defeat. Los Angeles’ Nikki Teasley didn’t score in 14 minutes of game action for UMMC Ekaterinburg.

The victory helped UMMC Ekaterinburg pull into a three way tie for first in Group A of the FIBA Euroleague. . Los Angeles’ teammates DeLisha Milton and Tamecka Dixon combined for 25 points as they finished with 11 and 14 points respectively in the victory. Milton is currently tied for fourth in the FIBA Euroleague in scoring (17.2 ppg) and seventh in rebounding (8.0 rpg). Minnesota’s Svetlana Abrosimova finished with five points and three boards, while Sacramento’s Ticha Penicheiro did not score in only seven minutes of action for UMMC Ekaterinburg.
