You've seen it on Bravo and now it has made its way to WNBA.com. Inside the Actors Studio with James Lipton has become Inside the Ballers Studio with yours truly, Adam Hirshfield.
While Mr. Lipton goes one-on-one with the finest actors and actresses in the biz, I'll do the same with the top talent in the WNBA. And in each and every instance... ... it... is... a... delight. They are truly the most scrumtrulescent of athletes.
Every episode, I'll ask each WNBA player 10 questions in an attempt to get to know them a bit better. As my esteemed predecessor Mr. Lipton always points out, the questionnaire concept was originated by French television personality Bernard Pivot, after the Proust Questionnaire.
So without further ado, Erin Buescher, let's begin...
1. What is your favorite word?
Buescher: "Vineyard. I don't know if it's the association with wine or just that I like the way the word sounds, but I LOVE that word."
2. What is your least favorite word?
Buescher: "Inappropriate. I'm not sure why. Well, I do know why it's so I don't know uptight. It's probably because I was always so inappropriate when I was little. I was hearing it all the time. I hate that word. It is so not fun."
3. What turns you on, creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Buescher: "I love to be inspired and I love to be inspiring. So whether it's words or whatever I'm turned on by things that I can make a connection to. Nature is another thing."
4. What turns you off?
Buescher: "Boredom. And concrete. I hate cities."
5. What sound or noise do you love?
Buescher: "Waves, birds, wind, rain things from nature."
6. What sound or noise do you hate?
Buescher: "Traffic."
7. What is your favorite curse word?
Buescher: "Dang it."
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Buescher: "I always wanted to be a professional surfer or a freelance writer for a travel magazine. Something like that. I used to really want to get into photography, too. I'd also like to be a spinning or aerobics instructor. I used to want to own a flower shop or a coffee shop."
9. What profession would you not like to do?
Buescher: "I could not be a wedding planner, and I know that because that's what I used to want to be. I'm so disorganized and irresponsible. I'm very laid back and 'Ohh, whatever ' And being a wedding planner means you have to be very organized and structured and schedule-oriented. You have to be appropriate (laughs). I would forget something major like the cake or the wedding dress."
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Buescher: "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter thou into
the joy of thy Lord."
