REGISTRATION OPEN FOR DREAM’S SECOND ANNUAL “TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS”

ATLANTA, July 15, 2009— Registration is now open for the Atlanta Dream’s second annual “Tournament of Champions,” a three-day girls basketball tournament for teams 10U-15U. Championship games will be played on the main floor at Philips Arena. The tournament is presented by Best Buy, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Coca-Cola.

The “Tournament of Champions” runs from July 30 to August 1 and is limited to the first 48 teams to register. Registration is $175 ($150 if you have multiple teams) and includes 15 tickets per team to the Atlanta Dream’s “Go Green” game against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m. To register your team, please contact Eric Schirmer at 404.954.6655.

Games are played in a bracket format with three games guaranteed per team. Opening round games will be played at All Tournament Players Park (3910 Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30066) and Kell High School (4770 Lee Waters Road, Marietta, GA 30066) with the championship games taking place on the main floor of Philips Arena. Age divisions are 10/11U, 12/13U and 14/15U.
