DREAM LAUNCHES ATLANTA DREAM BASKETBALL SKILLS ACADEMY

ATLANTA, November 10, 2010 - The Atlanta Dream will kick off its Atlanta Dream Basketball Skills Academy, a new youth basketball development program, with a clinic on November 20.

Dream Head Coach & General Manager Marynell Meadors and Assistant Coach Fred Williams will lead the one-day clinic at Cumberland Academy of Georgia (650 Mount Vernon Highway NE, Atlanta GA 30328). The clinic is open to youth in grades 3-8 and is designed for the beginner to the advanced basketball player who wants to improve their basketball fundamentals. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is $75 per participant and can be completed on www.AtlantaDream.net. Participants will receive a Dream practice jersey, ticket to a 2011 Dream home game, and lunch provided by Breadwinner Café. The Atlanta Dream kicks off its fourth season in 2011 as part of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the world's longest-running women's professional sports league. The Dream, the defending Eastern Conference Champions, will begin the 2011 season in June with regular season games scheduled through mid-September.
