Overseas Update - Feb. 18

The following is an update on how Atlanta Dream players fared in games over the past week with their overseas teams. You can find links to all of their teams’ web pages and get more detailed information by clicking here.

Erika de Souza – Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife defeated Santo Adre on Feb. 16 by a score of 65-58 to improve to 5-0. In the victory, de Souza had a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while also adding three assists. In five games, de Souza is averaging 12.8 points and a team-best 10.6 rebounds per game.

Tiffany Hayes – Besiktas (Turkey): Besiktas split two games last week, winning its first contest to run its winning streak to five games, before finally suffering a defeat to fall to 5-14 overall. In an 83-81 win over Edremit on Feb. 13, Hayes had 11 points and three boards in only 13 minutes off the bench. During a 73-59 loss to Galatasaray on Feb. 16, she started and had 10 points and two boards. Hayes is now averaging 9.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in her first four games with the club. Hayes previously played for Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion of Israel, and averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals in 10 games with the club.

Aneika Henry – Rivas Ecopolis (Spain): No. 9 seed Rivas Ecopolis begins competition in the EuroLeague playoffs Tuesday when the team visits No. 8 seed Famila Schio in the first game of a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the Final Eight in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Henry averaged 11.6 points and 9.0 rebounds in 12 EuroLeague games during the group stage. Last week in the Spanish League, Rivas Ecopolis beat Burgos on Feb. 16 by a score of 86-51 to improve to 15-1. Henry had five points, four rebounds and two assists while battling foul trouble in 23 minutes, and is now averaging 9.9 points and 7.6 boards in Spanish League games.

Laurie Koehn – Logan Thunder (Australia): The Logan Thunder lost to the Townsville Fire on Feb. 15 by a score of 63-38 to drop to 8-16 this season. Koehn, like the rest of her team, had an off shooting night, scoring seven points on 3-of-13 shooting. Koehn is averaging a team-best 15.3 points in 21 games this season, and has made 70-of-173 three-pointers (40.5 percent).

Cathrine Kraayeveld – Shinhan Bank (South Korea): Kraayeveld did not play as Shinhan Bank won twice to improve to 21-11 in the South Korean League. In her 15 games with the team, Kraayeveld is averaging 14.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Yelena Leuchanka – Liaoning (China): Leuchanka played in 18 games this season for Liaoning, which finished 14-8 and in third place in the Chinese League. In her 18 games with the club, Leuchanka averaged 17.7 points and 9.1 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle – Galatasaray (Turkey): No. 4 seed Galatasaray begins competition in the EuroLeague playoffs Tuesday when the team hosts No. 13 seed ZVVZ USK Prague in the first game of a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the Final Eight in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Lyttle averaged 11.3 points, 7.5 boards and 2.3 steals in 12 EuroLeague games during the group stage. Last week in the Turkish League, Galatasaray won twice to improve to 16-3. In an 84-39 victory over Istanbul Universitesi Feb. 13, Lyttle had 17 points and 15 rebounds in 26 minutes of action. During a 73-59 win against Besiktas on Feb. 16, she totaled nine points, six rebounds and five assists. Lyttle now averages 11.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 19 Turkish League games.

Angel McCoughtry – Fenerbahce (Turkey): No. 3 seed Fenerbahce begins competition in the EuroLeague playoffs Tuesday when the team hosts No. 14 seed Uni Gyor in the first game of a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the Final Eight in Ekaterinburg, Russia. McCoughtry averaged 13.8 points, 7.6 boards and 2.0 steals in 12 EuroLeague games during the group stage. Last week in the Turkish League, Fenerbahce split two games to remain in first place with a record of 17-2. In an 88-78 victory over TED Ankara on Feb. 13, McCoughtry had 16 points, seven steals, five rebounds and four assists in only 15 minutes. She did not play during an 87-84 loss to Tarsus Bld on Feb. 16. McCoughtry is now averaging a team-high 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals in 14 Turkish League games.

Armintie Price – Besiktas (Turkey): Besiktas split two games last week, winning its first contest to run its winning streak to five games, before finally suffering a defeat to fall to 5-14 overall. In an 83-81 win over Edremit on Feb. 13, Price had just four points, but only took four shots, while adding eight rebounds, five steals and three assists. During a 73-59 loss to Galatasaray on Feb. 16, she totaled four points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists. In her seven games with the club, Price is averaging 10.7 points, 4.1 steals, 4.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds.

Le'Coe Willingham – Perfumerias Avenida (Spain): No. 12 seed Perfumerias Avenida begins competition in the EuroLeague playoffs Tuesday when the team visits No. 5 seed Good Angels Kosice in the first game of a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the Final Eight in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Willingham averaged 12.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in seven EuroLeague games during the group stage. Last week in the Spanish League, Perfumerias beat Cadi ICG S. on Feb. 16 by a score of 74-52 to improve to 12-3. Willingham had 12 points and six boards, and is now averaging 9.9 points and 7.6 boards in Spanish League games.
