Overseas Update - Jan. 22

The following is an update on how Atlanta Dream players fared in games over the past week with their overseas teams. You can find links to all of their teams’ web pages and get more detailed information by clicking here.

Erika de Souza – Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife opened its season on Jan. 19 with a 66-60 home victory over Americana. In the win, de Souza contributed 12 points, nine rebounds and an assist in 35 minutes of action.

Tiffany Hayes – Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (Israel): Hayes left her Israeli team earlier this month for personal reasons. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion was 2-8 at the time of her departure, with Hayes averaging 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals in the 10 games.

Aneika Henry – Rivas Ecopolis (Spain): Rivas Ecopolis slipped to 5-4 and fourth place in Group A of the EuroLeague with a 78-72 loss against Uni Gyor on Jan. 17. Henry posted another double-double with games highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds in 30 minutes of action. She is now averaging 12.2 points and 9.7 rebounds in nine EuroLeague games. In the Spanish League, Rivas Ecopolis suffered its first defeat in 12 contests with a 74-63 loss against second-place Perfumerias on Jan. 20, with Henry collecting nine points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals. She is now averaging 9.6 points and 7.3 boards in Spanish League games.

Laurie Koehn – Logan Thunder (Australia): The Logan Thunder split two games last week to move their record to 7-12. In a 97-61 loss to Adelaide on Jan. 18, Koehn had 10 points and two rebounds, sinking 2-of-7 three-pointers. She bounced back two days later in an 84-62 victory against the West Coast Waves, totaling a game-high 22 points with five boards, and made 6-of-11 from downtown. Koehn is now averaging a team-best 15.7 points in 16 games, and has made 60-of-132 three-pointers (45.5 percent).

Cathrine Kraayeveld – Shinhan Bank (South Korea): Shinhan Bank is in the midst of a break in the schedule, with the team not scheduled to play again until Jan. 24. The squad is currently 17-8 and in second place in the South Korean League. In her 15 games with the team, Kraayeveld is averaging 14.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Yelena Leuchanka – Liaoning (China): Leuchanka has not played with Liaoning, which is now 14-8 in the Chinese League, since Christmas Day. In her 18 games with the club, she averaged 17.7 points and 9.1 rebounds.

Sancho Lyttle – Galatasaray (Turkey): Galatasaray improved to 8-2 to remain in second place in Group C of the EuroLeague with a 70-59 win over USO Mondeville on Jan. 16. Lyttle contributed six point and five rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench, and is now averaging 10.7 points, 7.6 boards and 2.1 steals in 10 EuroLeague games. Galatasaray also improved to 12-2 in the Turkish League with a 77-62 victory over Ceyhan Bld on Jan. 19. Lyttle chipped in five points, six rebounds and three assists while coming off the bench, and now averages 11.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.4 steals in the 14 Turkish League games.

Angel McCoughtry – Fenerbahce (Turkey): Fenerbahce improved to 7-2 in Group B of the EuroLeague with 74-69 victory over UE Sopron of Hungary on Jan. 16. McCoughtry totaled four points and four rebounds in just 16 minutes, and is now averaging 13.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals in nine EuroLeague games. In the Turkish League, Fenerbahce improve to 14-0 with an 84-66 victory over Canik Bld on Jan. 19. McCoughtry tallied a game-high 18 points, along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals, and is now averaging team highs of 15.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 11 Turkish League games.

Armintie Price – Besiktas (Turkey): In just her second game with the team, Price helped Besiktas win its first game in the Turkish League in 14 tries, with an 81-64 win over Tarsus Bld on Jan. 20. Price started and played 38 minutes, collecting 16 points, seven boards, four assists and four steals. She is averaging 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists in her first two games.
