Overseas Update - Nov. 26

The following is an update on how Atlanta Dream players fared in games over the past week with their overseas teams. You can find links to all of their teams’ web pages and get more detailed information by clicking here.

Erika de Souza – Sport Recife (Brazil): Sport Recife has not yet begun its season.

Tiffany Hayes – Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (Israel): Hayes’ team did not play last week. Her squad is currently 0-2 and Hayes averages 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals.

Aneika Henry – Rivas Ecopolis (Spain): Henry helped Rivas Ecopolis improve to 3-1 in the EuroLeague with a 66-59 victory over BK Imos Brno of the Czech Republic on Nov. 21. She started and posted a double-double with 11 points and a team-high 10 rebounds, and is now averaging 10.0 points and 9.8 boards in EuroLeague games. On Nov. 24, she helped Rivas Ecopolis defeat Conquero in a Spanish League game by a score of 83-62, totaling 14 points and seven rebounds. Henry averages 8.8 points and 5.7 rebounds in six Spanish League games for Rivas Ecopolis, which is 7-0 in that league.

Laurie Koehn – Logan Thunder (Australia): Koehn scored 15 points with four rebounds as the Logan Thunder improved to 3-6 in the Australian League with a 70-69 victory over the Sydney Uni Flames. All of Koehn’s points came on three-pointers, as she sank 5-of-14. Koehn is now averaging a team-best 16.8 points in six games, and has made 25-of-56 three-pointers (44.6 percent).

Cathrine Kraayeveld – Shinhan Bank (South Korea): Kraayeveld played in two games with Shinhan Bank last week, as her team split the pair to move to 9-4 on the season. During a 55-54 loss to Winnus on Nov. 19, she shared the team scoring lead with 15 points and added three boards and three assists. On Nov. 24, she led her team to an 83-75 victory over first-place Woori Hansae with team highs of 21 points and eight assists, as well as five rebounds. In her first three games with the team, Kraayeveld is averaging 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

Yelena Leuchanka – Liaoning (China): Liaoning dropped two games last week to fall to 5-4. In a 105-76 loss to Zhejiang on Nov. 20, Leuchanka played sparingly, scoring six points on 3-of-3 field goal shooting. During a 100-81 loss to Bayi on Nov. 24, she again took only three shots, making all three for six more points. For the season, she is averaging 15.7 points and 6.4 rebounds in nine games for Liaoning.

Sancho Lyttle – Galatasaray (Turkey): Galarasaray remained in first place in Group C in the EuroLeague, improving to 5-0 with a 79-69 win against Perfumerias Avenida of Spain on Nov. 21. Lyttle started and totaled 16 points, five rebounds and three steals. She is now averaging 11.8 points, 7.8 boards and 2.2 steals in five EuroLeague games. On Nov. 24, Lyttle helped Galatasaray improve to 5-1 in the Turkish League with an 81-43 win over Besiktas., scoring seven points and grabbing 11 boards. She is averaging 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds in six Turkish League games.

Angel McCoughtry – Fenerbahce (Turkey): McCoughtry helped Fenerbahce improve to 3-1 in Group B in the EuroLeague with an 88-59 victory over Arras of France on Nov. 21. She totaled 11 points, six rebounds and a pair of steals, and is now averaging 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.3 steals in four EuroLeague games. She did not play as Fenerbahce improve to 6-0 in the Turkish League with a 77-60 victory over Tarsus Bld on Nov. 25. She averages team highs of 18.0 points and 8.2 rebounds in five Turkish League games.
