Dream Signs Anne Marie Armstrong to Seven-Day Contract

ATLANTA, August 28, 2013 – The Atlanta Dream has signed forward Anne Marie Armstrong to a seven-day contract, the team announced Wednesday. Armstrong will be in uniform for the Dream’s game against the Washington Mystics tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

Armstrong, a rookie from the University of Georgia, played in eight games for the Dream earlier this season before being waived on July 5. She totaled three points and four rebounds in 18 minutes of action in her eight contests.

The two-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is in its sixth season at Philips Arena as part of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Dream qualified for the playoffs in each of the past four seasons, including back-to-back conference titles in 2010 and 2011.
