Why I became a Dream Supreme: I feel very fortunate that I was asked to become a Dream Supreme & want to encourage women of all ages to stay positive & active. Thanks to Marcia for organizing a fantastic, fun loving group of ladies, who love to perform together, and to Karen, our choreographer, who is so devoted to making us shine. Thank the Lord, she has an over abundance of patience. When I was younger, I was always the athlete, never the cheerleader, and am really loving cheering the Dreams to victory. The Dream Supremes also perform at many special events, and especially enjoy doing our routines at various retirement homes. We feel very proud that we can give back to our communities.

Personal & Professional:I was born in Louisville, KY in 1949, graduated from Western Kentucky University, where I was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, along with Barbara Cox. After graduation I backpacked all over Europe for 2 months , and then came straight down to Atlanta to start my career of 34 years, teaching 7th grade math. I first taught at Nancy Creek for 25 years. During that time, I took my students on many ski trips & 3 day camping trips to Rock Eagle. My Mathcounts team placed many times at the top & was invited to the State tournament. I retired after 34 years of teaching & now do some substituting, mostly in Atlanta City schools. I married Mr. Wonderful in 1973 & we built a house at Berkeley Lake. After 37 years we are still going strong at the lake. We were never blessed with children, but have parented many animals through the years. Our latest family consists of ducks, fish and the cutest maltipoo named Babelicious.

Other Interests:I started playing ALTA in 1973 and I still play about 3 times a week. My USTA Super Senior team won State last year and went to Sectionals in Hilton Head. My team again won City in March, and hope to get all the way to Nationals in California this year. Travelling, hiking & theater are also big passions of mine. I feel extremely blessed to have had such a wonderful and fulfilling life & I look forward to staying very active in the future.
