
ATLANTA , December 3, 2008 -- The Atlanta Dream teamed up with United Way this holiday season to help support the annual Toys for Tots campaign. The Dream donated over $500 worth of toys to help make the holidays brighter for deserving children across the metro Atlanta area. Dream players Chantelle Anderson and Nikki Teasley and Assistant Coach Fred Williams dropped off the toys at the Publix on Cumberland Parkway on December 2, 2008 and visited with Fox 5 to encourage Atlanta area residents to do the same.
Atlanta Toys for Tots is accepting new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations at Publix locations through December 21, 2008. The goal for this year is 400,000 toys for children around the metro Atlanta area.
