Bill Bolen (President & COO, Atlanta Dream)

William (Bill) H. Bolen Jr. serves as the President and COO of the Atlanta Dream. Previously, Bolen served the team as a client while a Partner at TopRight, a strategic marketing consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA. He has served over 60 different consulting clients and has significant sales and marketing experience across a wide range of topics including market evaluation, customer segmentation, customer experience, brand management, and sales force effectiveness.

Prior to co-founding The DaVinci Group back in 1998 that eventually became TopRight, Bill was a manager at McKinsey & Company’s Atlanta office. There he helped companies on many different business issues including operations, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing, globalization, growth strategies, and cost reduction.

Bolen serves on the Board for several private companies in the Atlanta area as well as on the Board of Advisors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Community Advisory Board for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He has served in the past on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and has taught undergraduate and graduate classes at Emory University and Georgia Tech.

In the public policy arena, Bolen has been responsible for a leading the consulting effort for a number of metro Atlanta initiatives to improve the quality of life and economic growth in the region. These initiatives include the Metropolitan Atlanta Transportation Initiative, Southeastern Economic Alliance for High Speed Rail, Metro Atlanta Biotech Task Force, Regional Education Task Force, Mayor’s Living Wage Task Force, BeltLine Partnership, Mayor’s Affordable Workforce Housing Task Force, and Peachtree Corridor Task Force. As a result of these projects, Bolen has been featured in articles in Georgia Trend, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Business To Business and TechLinks as well as other newspapers across the southeast.

Bolen also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Mt. Paran Christian School in Kennesaw, GA where he has been one of the leaders of the effort to build the school’s new 68-acre campus that opened in fall 2003.

Bolen received an M.B.A. with Distinction (top 10%) from the Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Marketing. He also studied at Oxford University in England during his time at Alabama. Bolen received the Outstanding Senior Award for the University of Alabama.

Bill lives with his wife Stacey and children Ansley and Will in Kennesaw, GA. He has spent many hours serving as a youth basketball, baseball, and soccer coach in the community. When not spending time with his family, he enjoys golf, basketball, and Alabama football. He and his family are members of North Metro Church in Kennesaw.
