Hayley Hunter, age 8, may be Chioma Nnamaka’s biggest fan. But as it turns out, Nnamaka has equal admiration for Hayley. This week, Nnamaka made a surprise visit to Hayley, one of the Dream’s biggest fans, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite where she is currently undergoing cancer treatments. Hayley is a basketball fan and a huge supporter of the Atlanta Dream. Children's even added Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast to their television package so that Hayley is now able to catch all the Dream action live.

Hayley is also a big fan of the Georgia Tech team, which is where she first encountered her favorite player. Nnamaka and other members of the Georgia Tech program kept up with Hayley through her internet blog. This season, their paths crossed again when Hayley attended a Dream autograph session and discovered that Nnamaka was one of the players signing after the game.

“I really admire her strength and courage,” Nnamaka said. “She’s a wonderful girl and visiting her was something I really wanted to do. Hopefully it meant something to her, because it definitely meant something to me.”

Chioma and the rest of her Dream teammates wish Hayley a speedy recovery and are hoping to see her back at Philips Arena on August 29 for the next Dream game!
