Lexi Eaton Rydalch
Set West Coast Conf. career points record for men & women, topping the mark of 2,490 by the late Hank Gathers. Is No. 2 among BYU career scorers (BYU history includes stint in WAC prior to WCC). Three-time All-WCC First Team pick in basketball; also a high-jumper in track & field. 2015-16: All-America Hon. Mention (AP) and WCC Player of Year. 2014-15: All-America Hon. Mention (AP); First Team All West Coast Conference; West Coast Conf. tournament MVP; had 16 games of 20-plus points. 2013-14: Paced Cougars in FT% and steals, was 2nd in steals en route to All-WCC First Team honors. 2012-13: Awarded medical redshirt after suffering torn ACL vs. Utah State. 2011-12: Named WCC Co-Newcomer of the Year after ranking No. 2 among BYU scorers and starting every game. PREP: all-time leading scorer; as junior and as senior led state in scoring (2010, 2011), was two-time Utah Gatorade POY, two-time state tournament MVP. Also earned three All-State First Team selections in track, two in soccer; state high jump champ in 2011. MISC: Met husband, Trevor Rydalch, after he was cut from BYU men’s team tryouts and became a practice player with the women’s team. Father-in-law is Mark Rydalch, a former guard who helped lead Utah to Sweet 16 when current BYU women’s coach was a Utah assistant under Rick Majerus.
