Q. What strengths, qualities or skills will you bring or add to a WNBA team?
"I'm
just going to do what I did at University of Houston. My ability to rebound is
my greatest asset."
Q. What skills do you feel you still need
to improve or work on at the next level?
"Shooting from the outside
better."
Q. What do you expect to be some of the biggest challenges/adjustments
at the next level?
"As a rookie, we will not necessarily be among
the top names being called upon on a regular basis. We just have to be patient
and wait for our turn."
Q. Are there any specific teams you would
like to play for?
Actually, I did not grow up in the United States and
was not that into basketball growing up. One of the coaches at home tried to create
a women's team and attend tournaments. He had a friend up here that needed some
tall players, so... I had no skills then. Everything I have done, I have learned
in four years.
Q. What will you remember most about your college
experience?
"During my senior year, I led the nation in rebounding."
Q.
Which of your fellow WNBA Draft prospects will go first... second... third?
You
know, there really has not been as much buzz as there has been. I'm not sure.
Q.
Which of your fellow WNBA Draft prospects will surprise people?
"I
know that most people don't get to see much of the Conference USA players, so
I'd say someone from that group. Unlike the bigger conferences, we were not always
on TV."
Q. What WNBA player are you most looking forward to playing
against or meeting?
In all honesty, I mainly watch guys. But all of these
ladies shoot inside, outside and can post up other players."
Q.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"My mom always
told me never to give up on anything. Even when it's not my turn, try my best
and wait for it."
