Q&A: Shemeka Christon #5 New York Liberty

Q: Your name in the last month or two has really shot up the draft board. What have you done to make this happen?

Christon: Well, our season ended really early in the first round of the conference tournament and I just kept in shape and worked on my game. I got invited to the New York combine camp and the college all-star game, so those two events really helped my stock.

Q: Are you excited to go to New York?

Christon: Iím very excited because itís the furthest thing from Arkansas and Iím not a city girl. But we all make adjustments and I canít wait to play in Madison Square Garden where so many great players have played. The closest I have gotten to MSG is watching on TV in Arkansas.
