A veteran of athletic training and sports medicine in women’s professional sports, Tamara Poole enters her thrid season with Mercury in 2008 as Head Athletic Trainer. Just the second head trainer in Mercury history, Poole acts as a medical liaison with the team’s medical and organizational staff, focusing on injury prevention and management. She also assists the team with travel administration.

Prior to joining the Mercury, Poole served as Head Athletic Trainer of the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun, Seattle Storm and served two seasons with the Charlotte Sting. Poole’s experience also includes stints in the CBA, ABL and Italian Womens Professional League.

A 1995 graduate of California State Dominquez Hills in Carson, CA, Poole has a degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in athletic training and a minor in biology.
