Steve Shuman
College - Cal State - Sacramento

Steve Shuman returns for his seventh season as assistant coach and video coordinator for the Monarchs. During the 1998 and 1999 seasons, Shuman served as the Monarchs video coordinator; then, beginning in the 2000 campaigns, he added assistant coach duties to his repertoire. A native of Long Beach, Calif., Shuman joined the organization as assistant video coordinator for the Sacramento Kings prior to the 1997-98 NBA campaign and continued to serve in that capacity for six NBA seasons before moving to the role of Minor League Scout in the 2006-2007 season.

Shuman's responsibilities will take him to countless WNBA and college games in search of winning talent for the Monarchs. In his video coordinator capacity, Shuman is responsible for the recording and editing of all videotapes of Monarchs games, upcoming opponents and college games.

Shuman graduated with a degree in education from California State University, Sacramento in 1989. He was an assistant basketball coach at Jesuit High School in Sacramento (1989-91) before serving as head coach at Trinity High School in Las Vegas, Nev., for six years (1991-97).
