On February 22, 2006, Roger Reding was named Sky Assistant Coach and Director of Player Personnel.

Reding, a proven winner with over 22 years of coaching experience, comes to the Sky as a graduate of Texas Tech University, where he was the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for 16 years. Reding's Lady Raiders teams won one NCAA National Championship, made four Elite Eight appearances, 11 Sweet Sixteen appearances and 16 NCAA Tournament appearances. Responsible for developing Texas Tech’s excellent perimeter game, Reding has coached numerous standout perimeter players, including legendary WNBA player Sheryl Swoopes.

Roger is very pleased and eager about enjoying the Chicago Sky team and has said that, “I am really impressed with management’s commitment to make the Sky a first class WNBA team and do it right away. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Coach Overton and Stephanie and Steve, and to help put together a team that Chicago will be proud of.”
