Jason Glover
College - Grand Canyon
Jason Glover enters his second season on Gary Kloppenburg’s coaching staff as Associate Head Coach in 2013. He spent four seasons as the Associate Head Coach and was interim Head Coach for the last month of the 2013 season for the Reno Bighorns in the NBA Development League. He also spent the 2010-11 season as a player development coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. He brings a wealth of experience to the Shock staff after coaching 27 years at the professional, collegiate and high school levels.

In 2004 he served as an assistant coach with the Colorado Chill of the NWBL. Prior to that he was Pat Foster’s top assistant at the University of Nevada from 1993 through1999. Glover also served as an assistant coach to current BYU Head Coach Dave Rose at Dixie College in St.George, Utah, for three seasons, where he was instrumental in building Dixie into a national junior college power, helping guide the Rebels to two top-10 national rankings.

After graduating from Grand Canyon College with a degree in education, Glover began his coaching career in Las Vegas as a high school coach at Rancho under Coach Jim Allen. He also had the unique opportunity to learn first hand from two of the nation’s winningest coaches, former Nevada and Houston Head Coach Pat Foster, and ex-UNLV and Fresno State Coach Jerry Tarkanian.

Jason has built his prominent coaching reputation on his abilities as an on-court teacher with special emphasis on player development. He has worked individually with players of all ages and levels, most notably NBA players Kevin Love, Sebastian Telfair, Anthony Tolliver and Kosta Koufos just to name a few. Glover is also the founder and Executive Director of Nevada Basketball Academy in Reno, NV which began in 2000.
