James Wade
College - Kennesaw St. (GA)

A 13-year professional basketball veteran, James Wade joined the Stars coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2013 after serving as a coaching intern on the staff in 2012.

Wade is responsible for leading individual player development. He also assists with team development, video breakdown and game planning.

A dual citizen of France and the United State, Wade has been playing professionally overseas in the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Belgium since 2000. Following his first season with the Silver Stars, Wade returned to France to play with Castelnau Le Lez Basket in Montpellier, France.

A 1998 graduate of Kennesaw State University, Wade played two seasons for the Owls, averaging 9.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game through 56 games. Wade also played collegiately at Chattanooga State College (1995-96) where he averaged 18.6 points, 7.5 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 steals and Middle Tennessee State University (1994-95) where he averaged 2.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals as a freshman.

Wade is married to former Stars guard and French national team member Edwidge Lawson-Wade.
