Fischer completed her first season with the Connecticut Sun after a five-year tenure as the Head Athletic Trainer with the Cleveland Rockers, where she oversaw all aspects of athletic training, team equipment, insurance, and travel while also supervising staff and interns.
Since 1999, Fischer has also worked as a Staff Athletic Trainer for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
From 1995-99, Fischer was the Senior Athletic Trainer at Fairview and Lutheran Hospitals. Her responsibilities included rehabilitating patients in the Physical Therapy Department with a wide range of orthopedic injuries. She also assisted with clinical operations and staff supervision and training, interviewed job applicants and generated annual performance reviews.
Fischer also served as an Athletic Trainer at Hillcrest Back and Pain Management Center, and was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Cleveland State University. Additionally, since 1992, she served as a lecturer for the Department of Health, Recreation and Dance at Cleveland State.
Fischer has a Masters of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana.
