Lisa Leslie, Sparks center
October 11, 2002

"My advice is to spend five hours five days a week playing and practicing basketball. Find a team and join up. That's about two hours. And shoot 500 shots from everywhere on the basketball court, including free throws."

Tamika Catchings, Fever forward
August 28, 2002

"I need to pick it up in every area of the game. I'm going to be moving more to the perimeter next year. I'll have to work on my footwork and perimeter defense. There's plenty of areas I need to work on."

Sue Wicks, Liberty forward
August 27, 2002

"We have a lot of silly girls. It really changes all the time. Crystal, Becky, Linda are all very silly and like to play jokes and give you misinformation all the time. My most embarassing moment, one time I left Latrell Sprewell a good luck note in his locker before the playoffs, but I poured all my Gatorade all over his uniform. I ruined his game uniform and they had to change it. It wasn't so embarassing as much as I was scared, I felt like I committed a crime! "

Swin Cash, Shock forward
August 23, 2002

"My mom and my godmother kind of put my name together and from what they told me it means "astounding woman." And it originates from Africa. "

Sue Bird, Storm guard
August 22, 2002

"At first it was a little weird playing my old teammates. But after we hang out and see the city they play in. It's strange seeing all those people in the stands with my jersey. But it's great. "
