Sun Sign Gahan To Training Camp Contract UNCASVILLE, Conn. � The Connecticut Sun signed Tracy Gahan to a training camp contract Thursday.

As per team policy, no terms were announced.

A 6-foot guard from Iowa State, Gahan was named MVP of the Adelaide Lightning this past season after averaging 13 points, nine rebounds and 2.7 assists for the WNBL champions. Gahan was also named to the WNBL All Star Five along with Adelaide teammate Jess Foley, who has also been invited to the Sun camp.

Originally taken in the third round (46th overall) of the 2002 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty, Gahan was cut prior to the start of the 2002 season. She has been playing internationally since, earning All Star status in Greece while also competing in Ireland. During the last two years, Gahan has been with Adelaide, where Sun point guard Erin Phillips also plays. She has averaged 12.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and two assists during her career with the Lightening.

At Iowa State, Gahan was the 14th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points, finishing seventh on the all-time Cyclone scoring list with 1,357 points. She averaged 10.4 points during her career, and collected 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game as a senior.

Training camp for the Connecticut Sun opens April 20th, and the Sun will play their first preseason game May 1st at Minnesota.
